Please note these rules are written formally but should be taken as toungue-in-cheek!
Handicap Reviews
Players will start the season ( start tbd) with their official Woodbridge Golf Club Handicaps. All players are encouraged to submitted regular cards to unsure an accurate handicap is maintained.
A handicap review will only be approved by the captain under special circumstances. (e.g. Injury layoff). This review would take the form of individual scorecard submission and/or a playing review round with The Captain. The Captain’s say on handicaps is final.
Tee Selection
Players are encouraged to play whatever colour tee they are comfortable with to enjoy their round of golf.
It is every players duty to ensure they play off the correct shot allowance for their desired tee! (Please note there are exceptions to these rules as agreed by previous captians)
If you are unsure – check the board of the app!
Winners and Losers
In a change to previous years, there will be adjustment changes to peoples handicaps based on performance. This will only affect winners/losers multiple weeks in a row.
For example, When inevitably Dave Leech wins 2 weeks in a row, he would be cut for the following week, if he were to win again he would be cut again – until his winning streak would be over. The same would be allied to Stuart Webb if he where to wear the aprons 2 weeks in a row!
The handicap changes would apply as per the following – shots would be applied to your widows handicap.
Handicap range: 0.0 – 11 = +/-1 shot
Handicap range: 11.1 – 20 = +/- 2 shots
Handicap range: 20.1 + = +/- 3 Shots
E.g. Andy Windows handicap 6.9 should he win twice in a row his handicap the following week would be 5.9. I would then look at my shot allowance on the tables depending on what tee he is playing that week.
